Pixel Text Tutorial

Hello, here you will learn how to create pixel text using Paint Shop Pro and Animation Shop. Below are the steps needed to create pixel text if you need further assistance please email me.

Step 1

First of all open up Paint Shop Pro and click on File > New and put the width at 150 and the height at 100 and check the transparent for color and click ok.
Then click on the and set the following text attributes to the following below.

Make the foreground color transparent >

Choose a lighter background color >

Step 2

Then zoom in at 800% and this is what your text should look like.

Now that you have your text go to Selections > Modify > Expand and if you get a prompt click ok. Then put the Number of Pixels to 1 as shown in the example below and click ok.

This is what your text should now look like.

Step 3

Now click on the tool and select a foreground color that is darker than the background color as shown below.

Choose a darker foreground color >

Leave this lighter background color >

Then fill in with the darker color and your text should now look like this.

Step 4

Finally go to Edit > Copy and paste into Animation Shop and select and put white accents on the upper corner of each letter as shown below.

Then for the text color select a lighter color as shown below.
